    <head>Biographical Note</head>
       <p>Born Hong Kong, 1929; graduate Smith College, 1950; married Robert N. Riger;  had four children.  Was later married to [?] Keys.  From 1958-66, worked at WNBC-TV New York, first as a production assitant, then as producer of "The Open Mind," then Manager of Public Affairs. Writer and producer for ABC News, 1966-68; produced shows related to the Olympics and promotional films for ABC Sports, 1968- retirement; wrote and produced landmark prime-time specials on women's sports; first woman to hold a full producership and executiveposition in network sports; served as director of the Women's Sports Foundation. Won two Emmy awards; Smith College medal, 1982.</p>

      <head>Scope and Contents of the Collection</head>
       <p>Correspondence, appointment books, films, videotapes, printed material, organization files, and writings. Strengths of the collection include writings, correspondence, memos, and notes related to Sangers' production of television sports coverage for ABC, as well as her professional relationships with top ABC executives such as Roone Arledge, John Martin and Chuck Howard.</p>
