Una Elizabeth (Beth) Wilson Jacobs was born in 1917, the daughter of Dr. Wilbert and Una Wilson. Educated in Jamaica. President, Child Welfare Association of Jamaica 1958- 60; President, International Planned Parenthood Federation (Western Hemisphere Region) 1958- 1961; Foundation member and Director, Jamaica Family Planning Association Ltd.; Chairman, Board of Governors of St. Hilda's High School, Jamaica; President, St. Ann Police Youth Club. Member, Legislative Council (Upper House-Parliament) 1957-61. Publications include articles in Women Speaking (U.K.) and American Review of World Health (U.S.A.). Co-wrote with husband The Family, and Family Planning in the West Indies (U.K.).

 Scope and Contents of the Collection

Papers include correspondence, speeches, clippings, photographs, video tape, writings, and printed material relating to family planning, sex education, family life and health, child welfare association, the International Planned Parenthood Foundation and the Beth Jacobs Family Planning Clinic in Jamaica, 1950-1998.
