	<head>Biographical Note</head>
	<p>John F. Kane, Jr. attended St. John's College, a military school. He entered The Catholic University of America in 1941 as an Electrical Engineering student. He completed his bachelor's degree in 1946. After graduation, Kane lived in Washington, DC and Virginia. Kane became a notable financial supporter of CUA programs as an alumnus. He made considerable donations to The Center for Irish Studies and the School of Arts and Sciences. Kane passed away in 1988.</p>

	<p>The first folder of personal records includes three student report cards and a student bank card, and is sealed for 50 years after 1988, the year of Kane's death, in accordance with FERPA. They will be available on April 25, 2039. The rest of the collection has no access restrictions.</p>
